Mine Clearing Suits and Combat EOD Suits
The mine clearing suit is designed to be worn by explosives experts when detecting, clearing, deactivating and disposing of mines, unexploded ammunition and other explosives.
The suit protects the torso, the neck area, the arms, the abdomen and groin area, the legs and the feet against fragments, heat and pressure shocks. The components of the suit can be used in various combinations depending on the assignment.
The suit consists of half-overall, a pair of sleeves and a specially fortified one-piece vest. Insert plates give added protection to chest and groin areas. The vest incorporates turnable groin protectors, a pouch and convenient fastenings for necessary instruments. The collar is sufficiently wide to house the visor of the helmet to prevent it from being forced open by pressure wave.
The protective capabilities of the suit are tested by independent ballistic laboratories according to international standards and special requirements set by individual clients. The suit is also available in specially ventilated versions for hot and humid climates. The suit is antistatic when worn with ballistic foot protection.
