Bulletproof Buoyant Vest
The Bulletproof Buoyant Vest has been developed for special forces within the Navy, Coast Guard and Police. It combines effective ballistic protection with a lifesaving capability in marine conditions.
Equipped with insert plates in front and back, the vest provides protection against bullets fired with rifle caliber weapons and handguns as well as against splinters and fragments. The buoyancy material incorporated in the vest keeps the wearer safely afloat in water in upright or swimming position. The vest can be fitted with a detachable foam collar or a self-inflating collar for added buoyancy. A strong lifting loop in the neck of the vest facilitates rescue from the sea.
The design of the vest is ergonomic and allows for easy mobility. Special consideration has been given to adjusting the dimension and the surface structure of the vest for easy access in the usually narrow doorways and limited spaces on board a ship.
The protective capabilities of the vest are tested by independent ballistic laboratories according to international standards and special requirements set by individual clients.
